Wilhelm Brandt, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and sons (Georg Mattias, age 9; Daniel, age 6) are recorded on the 1767 census of Schäfer in Household No. 30. They had arrived in Schäfer on 1 August 1766.
The 1767 census records that Wilhelm Brandt came from the German village of Büdingen.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Brandt family among the Volga German colonies.
