Valentin Braun, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck in Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.

Valentin Braun, a single farmer, is recorded on the 1767 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. 51.

The 1767 census of Shcherbakovka records that Valentin Braun is living in Saratov.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Valentin Braun came from the German region of Riedesel.
