Johann Prensel [sic], a blacksmith (Schmied), and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a barque named Fortitudo (Fortitude) under the command of Skipper John Scott.
This is believed to be the same man who settled in Norka.
Heinrich Brenzel, a soldier, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Anna Katharina (age 1) settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 142.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Prensel [sic] came from the German region of Hessen. The 1767 census records that Heinrich Brenzel came from the German region of Hessen.
