Paul Brunner, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and children (Johann Georg, age 10; Johann Jakob, age 5; Friedrich Adam, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the Russian boot Swjatoy Pawel under the command of Midshipman Fyodor Sorney.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Moor on 18 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 36.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Paul Brunner came from the German region of Hanau.
