Johann Adam Burger, son of Ludwig Burger of Albersbach, married on 6 July 1726 in Rimbach to Anna Catharina Falkenstein, daughter of Hans Jacob Falkenstein of Mittershausen. She had been baptized 19 August 1703 in Mittershausen.

The baptisms of the following children born to Johann Adam Burger & Anna Catharina Falkenstein are recorded in the parish register of Gronau: (1) Elisabetha Catharina, born 14 November 1727 in Mittershausen, baptized 16 November 1727 [in Weinheim]; (2) Johann Leonhardt, born 10 May 1729 in Mittershausen, baptized 11 May 1729 [in Schlierbach], died 16 January 1800 [in Gronau]; (3) Johann Adam, born 18 October 1730 in Gronau, died 24 June 1734; (4) Sophia Dorothea, born 12 December 1733 in Gronau; (5) Anna, born 25 September 1736 in Gronau; (6) Maria Catharina, born 30 May 1740 in Gronau; and (7) Johann Conrad, born 23 October 1743 in Gronau.

Oldest daughter Elisabetha Catharina Burger married Johann Philipp Meid. They had one son Gottlieb Meid who was born 23 October 1749 in Gronau.

Johann Philipp Meid died, and his widow remarried 31 March 1756 in Gronau to Johann Henrich Bickelhaupt, son of Jakob Bickelhaupt & Magdalena Blumenschein. He had been born 15 September 1719 in Ober-Gersprenz.

The baptisms of two children born to Johann Heinrich Bickelhaub & Elisabetha Catharina Burger are recorded in the parish register of Gronau: (1) Johann Dieterich Bickelhaub, born 6 February 1756; (2) Sophia Margaretha, born 10 May 1759.

Johann Heinrich Bickelhaub died, and Elisabetha Catharina Bickelhaub née Burger remarried on 27 May 1766 in Gronau to Johann Georg Albert, son of Johann Peter Albert & Margaretha Heß. Johann Georg Albert had been born in Gronau on 17 May 1744.

Johann Albert, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Johann, age 10; Sophia, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Peter Albert, his wife Elisabeth, and [step-]children (Diedrich [Pickelhaupt], age 12; Margaretha [Pickelhaupt], age 10) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

The combined Albert / Bickelhaub family are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Warenburg in Household No. 112. The two Bickelhaub children are recorded there in error under the surname Burger - their mother's maiden name.

Dieterich Pickelhaupt is recorded on the 1798 census of Kind in Household Kd09, his sister in Household Kd17, and their once again widowed mother in Household Kd18.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Burger family among the Volga German colonies.
