Discussion & Documentation:

Widower Konrad Burger, a miller (Müller), and his children (Johann Christian, age 13; Anna Katharina, age 9) are recorded on the 1767 census of Straub in Household No. 54. They had settled there on 19 August 1767.

The 1767 census records that Konrad Burger came from the German village of Rimbach in the Erbach region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Burger family among the Volga German colonies.

[The Johann Adam Burger whose daughter Elisabetha Catharina settled in the colony of Kind was married in Rimbach, so the Konrad Burger & Johann Adam Burger families may be related.]
