Martin Bustert, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adam Drath.
Martin Bustert, his wife Maria, and son Johannes (age 6) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Hölzel on 11 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31.
Martin Bustert and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Hölzel in Household No. Hz15.
The 1767 census records that Martin Bustert came from the German village of Kremerew [?] in the Trier region.
