Georg Danner, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 7 May 1766 aboard the Russian galliot named Katharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Rehder.
Katharina died and Georg remarried to Gertruda, the widow of Johann Holzmann.
Georg Danner (age 30), a farmer, his wife Gertruda (age 40), and [step-]children (Hans Georg [Holzmann], age 18; Margaretha [Holzmann], age 17; Katharina [Holzmann], age 14; Samuel [Holzmann], age 11) are recorded on the 1767 census of Leichtling in Household No. 34. They had arrived in Leichtling on 14 May 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Danner came from the German region of Nürnberg while the 1767 census records that he was from Ansbach.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Danner family among the Volga German colonies.
