Widower Johann Deckmann, a baker, and his son Johann (age 19) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Reders.

Joh. Deckmann, his [new] wife Anna Maria, and children (Joh. Georg, age 20; Anna Maria, age 11) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767. Daughter Anna Maria must be a step-daughter whose surname is not recorded.

Johannes Deckmann, a farmer, his wife Susanna, and children (Johann Georg, age 20; Anna Maria, age 15) are recorded on the 1767 census of Anton in Household No. 58. They had settled there on 1 September 1767.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johannes Deckmann came from the German region of Isenburg.
