Discussion & Documentation

Friedrich Degenhardt, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Degott on 18 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 2 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Schuck in 1768.

The 1767 census records that Friedrich Degenhardt came from the French village of La Tour.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Degenhardt family among the Volga German colonies.
