Discussion & Documentation

Sepketz Degraf (age 32 in 1814) served in the 33th Infantry Regiment of Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians and on 2 September 1814 was settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Karaman.

Milovidov records that as of 1814 his father, mother, three brothers, and three sisters were still living in Dainoma [?].

Milovidov records that Sepketz Degraf came from the town of Dainoma [?] in Holland [The Netherlands].

There are no known surviving male lines of this Degraf family among the Volga German colonies.
