Franz Dehl [sic], a farmer, and his wife Magdalena arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 May 1766 aboard a pinque named Лапоминк (Lapomink - a Russian river) under the command of Lieutenant Dmitry Krykov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 12 May 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 4.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Franz Dehl [sic] was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he is a mason (Maurer). The 1767 census records that Franz Anton Dehler came from the Bamberg region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Dehler family among the Volga German colonies.
