Konrad Dewald [sic], a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
Konrad Dewald [sic], his wife Anna Sibilla, and son Johann Adam (age ¼) are recorded on the 1767 census of Anton in Household No. 49. They had settled in Anton on 20 March 1767.
The 1811 census of Warenburg records in Household No. 70 that Johann Konrad Deobald had relocated to Warenburg from Anton in 1798. His death in 1831 is recorded on the 1834 census of Warenburg in Household No. 124.
The 1834 census of Anton records (in Households No. 101 & 102) that Elias and Adam Deobald and their families relocated to the colony of Franzosen in 1825.
Johann Adam Deobald is recorded on the 1834 census of Franzosen in Household No. 59.
Elias Deobald is recorded on the 1834 census of Franzosen in Household No. 97.
The 1767 census records that Konrad Deobald came from the German "Oberamt Neustadt" in the Kurpfalz region.
Deobald has been confused with Dewald in some translations.
