Joseph Ressendorf [sic], a turner (Dreher), and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 17 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 56.

Widow Christina Diesendorf née Deltz and her children are recorded on the 1798 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. Ka071.

The 1767 census records that Joseph Ressendorf [sic] came from the German village of Lauschburg [?] in Bayern (Bavaria).
