Catarina Elisabet. Diederich [sic], daughter of August Diederich & Bostilla Wolteriche, was baptized on 12 June 1766 in St. Mary's Lutheran Church in Lübeck.

August Dietrich, a button maker (Knopfmacher), his wife Butila?, and children (Edith, age 6; Katharina, age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 25 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Maria Sophia under the command of Skipper Johann Bauert.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Frank on 1 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No 106.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that August Dietrich came from the Prussian village of Königsberg.
