Heinrich Dittmann, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Rosenheim on 27 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 17.
The 1767 census records that Heinrich Dittmann came from the German village of Waldeck in Herzogtum Mechlenburg and that his wife came from the Kalmar region in Sweden.
