Johannes Dreher married Anna Eva Maria Schäfer, daughter of Johann Nicolaus & Anna Margaretha Schäfer [See Schäfer Family]. Anna Eva Maria Schäfer had been born 17 August 1712 in Rodau.

The following are children born in Wembach to Johannes Dreher & Anna Eva Maria Schäfer: (1) Johann Andreas, born 22 March 1742, died 11 February 1744; (2) Johann Nicolaus, born 29 September 1744; (3) Anna Margaretha, born 22 March 1749; (4) Susanna Maria, born 8 July 1751; and (5) Anna Elisabetha Margareth, born 1 August 1755.

Johannes Dreher, his wife Anna Eva, and his children (Johannes Nikolaus, age 19; Anna Margaretha, age 14; Susanna Kathairna, age 12; and Elisabeth Katharina, age 9) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Fridericia on 27 September 1760.

They are last recorded in the Danish colonies on 7 January 1765. They joined the migration to Russia.

Johannes Dreher and his wife Anna are recorded on Supplement No. 1 to the 1775 census of Beideck along with a note that he is in poor health and unable to provide for his own subsistence.

Son Nikolaus Dreher and his wife Elisabeth Katharina are recorded on the 1775 census of Beideck in Household No. 29.

The Eichhorns record that Johannes Dreher came from the German village of Wembach near Lichtenberg.
