Johann Paul Eckhardt, his wife Johanna, and children (Regina, age 19; Maria, age 12) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 September 1766.

Paul Ekardt [sic], his wife Johanna, and daughter Maria (age 14) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johann Paul Eckhardt, a gunsmith (Büchsenmacher), his wife Johanna, and daughter Maria (age 13) are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census that lists the colonists who had been recruited by Beauregard (No. 1).

A note on the 1767 census records that Johann Paul Eckhardt settled in the colony of Zürich in 1768.

The 1767 census records that Johann Paul Eckhardt came from the German region of Suhl.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Eckhardt family among the Volga German colonies.
