Johannes Eifert, a farmer, and his wife Rosina are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Boisroux in Household No. 59 along with his stepson Johannes Bergholz.
In 1784, Johannes Eifert moved from Hockerberg to Meinhard.
In 1788, Johann Heinrich Eifert moved from Meinhard to Basel.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Eifert came from the German village of Storndorf.
