Johannes Eit, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Dönhof on 18 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 62.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Eit came from the German region of Darmstadt.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
