Engler
Georg Engler, a blacksmith (Schmied), his wife Christina, and daughter Anna (age ½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Georg Engler and his wife Christina are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 3. Georg's widow and sons are recorded on the 1798 census of Näb in Household No. Nb33.
The 1767 census records that Georg Engler came from the German village of Mednsch [?] near Siebenbürgen [?].
