Discussion & Documentation:

Johannes Erder (Jörder), son of Johann Adam & Maria Margaretha Jetter, was born in about 1714. Johannes Erder (Jörder), a farmer from Rippenweier, married on 2 March 1745 in Leutershausen to Maria Barbara Weber, daughter of Johannes & Anna Margaretha Weber. She had been born 23 June 1721 in Leutershausen.

Their daughter Eva Katharina Jörder was born 23 December 1752 in Heiligkreuz.

They immigrated first to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) in 1760.

The baptism of Anna Margaretha Jetter [sic], daughter of Johannes & Maria Barbara Jetter, is recorded on 29 August 1761 in Friderichshaab [Denmark].

In 1763, they joined the immigration to Russia.

They settled in the colony of Anton on 7 September 1764 along with their son Johann Nikolaus (age 15) and daughter Anna Margaretha (age 3). They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Anton in Household No. 9.

Anna Margaretha Jetter is recorded on the 1798 census of Balzer in Household No. Bz097 as the wife of Johann Peter Klaus.

The Eichhorns record that Johannes Jörder came from the village of Rippenweier in the "Heilig Kreuz, Oberamt Heidelberg, Kurpfalz."

There do not appear to be any male descendants of this family, so the surname does not continue.
