Paul Erdinger, a joiner (Tischler), and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Katharina under the command of Skipper Daniel Geier.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 5 March 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 92.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Paul Erdinger came from the German region of Augsburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
