Believed to be his sister is Anna Margaretha Etzberger (born about 1759), wife of Georg Philipp and widow of Philipp Hartwig, who is recorded on the 1798 census of Warenburg in Household No. Wr035.

Philipp Etzberger and his sons (Johannes Philipp & Heinrich Anton) are recorded on the 1811 census of Straub in Household No. 24 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Neu-Straub [year not recorded].

Anton Etzberger from [Neu-]Straub and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Basel in Household No. 80.

Philipp Etzberger and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Neu-Straub in Household No. 40 along with a note that his brother Anton relocated to the colony of Basel.
