Johannes Fein, son of Nicolaus Fein, and Johanna Maria Eurich, daughter of the late Peter Eurich from Schlierbach, were married in Udenhain on 4 March 1734.
Their son, Johann Balthasar Fein, was born in Udenhain on 12 February 1747.
Balthasar Fein, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Huck on 17 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 83 along with a note that he is working as a day laborer (Lohnarbeiter) for Colonist [Johann Adam] Köhler.
Balthasar's death in 1807 is recorded on the 1811 census of Huck in Household No. 84.
The Fein family is recorded on the 1834 census of Huck in Household No. 165.
The Fein family is recorded on the 1857 census of Huck in Household No. 175.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Balthasar Fein came from the German region of Isenburg.
