Georg Fischer, a carpenter, his wife Christina, and daughters (Margaretha, age 13; Magdalena, age 8) arrived from Danzig at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 May 1766 aboard a galliot named Гданьская Надежда (Gdansk Hope) under the command of Skipper Johann Erdmann Geske.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Hussenbach. Daughter Margaretha is recorded there on the 1798 census in Household No. Hs101. Daughter Magdalena (from Hussenbach) is recorded on the 1798 census of Kautz in Household No. Kz30.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Fischer came from the German village of Ulm.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Fischer family among the Volga German colonies.
