Johannes Fischer, son of Johann Fischer, was born 17 June 1737 in Mülsen. His baptism is recorded in the parish register of nearby Laptau (today known as Muromskoje).

Johann Fischer, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 28 April 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 51.

The 1767 census records that Johann Fischer came from the German village of Mülsen in Prussia.
