Discussion & Documentation:

There are a couple of Fischer families that are affiliated with the Volga German colony of Norka. It is unknown at this time how, if at all, they are related to each other except in the ways described.

(1) Konrad Fischer (born about 1735), a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

Konrad Fischer, a farmer, and his wife Anna Maria are recorded in Norka on the 1767 census in Household No. 67 along with stepchildren with the surname Hessler [erroneously recorded as Ifland] (Christina Elisabeth, age 18; Anna Margaretha, age 13; Georg Wilhelm, age 5). They had settled in Norka on 15 August 1767.

Konrad Fischer (born about 1730), his wife Anna Maria, son Johann Friedrich (age 14) [not sure who this guy is], daughter Anna Margaretha (age 19), and son-in-law Johannes Burbach are recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Household No. 135.

Konrad [Fischer] and his wife Anna Maria [née Meininger] are recorded on the 1798 census of Norka in Household No. Nr142.

Konrad Fischer is recorded on the 1811 census of Norka in Household No. 142.

(2) Konrad Fischer (born about 1745), a farmer, and his wife Anna Margaretha arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

Konrad Fischer, a farmer, and his wife Anna Maria are recorded in Norka on the 1767 census in Household No. 83.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that all three came from the German district of Isenburg.

In 1796, Johannes Fischer moved from Norka to Messer.
