Kaspar Fischer, a farmer, his family, and his brother-in-law Anton Rupp arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.
Caspar Fischer and his wife Maria Margaretha along with Anton Rupp are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 3 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 77.
The 1767 census records that Kaspar Fischer came from the German village of Oberwaldstedt in the Mainz region [possibly Ober-Wöllstadt which was in Kurmainz].
