Discussion & Documentation

Johann Eberhard Vorschauer, son of Johann Henrich Vorschauer & Anna Elisabeth Bamberger, was born 7 March 1735 in Aßlar and baptized there on 13 March 1735. He married in Friedberg on 17 May 1766 to Maria Sophia Flick, daughter of Johann Engelhard Flick & Catharina Elisabethe Hebel. Maria Sophia had been born 29 December 1741 also in Aßlar and baptized there on 5 January 1742.

Eberhard Forschauer, a farmer, and his wife Sophia arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard a koff named Alette under the command of Skipper Wybe Hendricks.

They arrived in Kukkus on 26 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 47.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Eberhard Forschauer came from the German region of Braunfels.
