Johann Frank, a farmer, his wife Anna, daughters (Anna, age 17¼; Elisabeth, age 16; Katharina, age 7; Anna, age 4), and his sister Kunigunda [Kuntz née Frank] (age 30) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Vergoldete Weintraube (The Guilded Grape) under the command of Skipper Joachim Hermann Andersen.
George Franck [sic], his wife Anna Maria, daughters (Anna Cathar., age 17; Anna Elisab., age 14; Cathar. Elisab., age 7; Catharina, age 4), and sister Anna Cunigunda Kuntz [née Frank] are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Johann Georg Frank, a tailor (Schneider), and his wife Anna Elisabeth are recorded on the 1767 census of Anton in Household No. 60 along with her children (Johannes Storck, age 19; Anna Katharina [Waiß], age 11; Ludwig Storck, age ¾). They had settled there on 1 September 1767. [See Storck Family.]
Widower Georg Frank is recorded on the 1798 census of Anton in Household No. An06.
The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Frank came from the German region of Isenburg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Frank family among the Volga German colonies.
