Gottfried Frick, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Beauregard on 27 August 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 7.

The 1767 census records that Gottfried Frick came from the German village of Westerburg.
