Widower Daniel Gottfried Frick, a wine distiller (Weinbrenner), settled in the Volga German colony of Kratzke on 7 August 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29.

The 1767 census records that Daniel Gottfried Frick came from the German region of Anhalt-Zerbst.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Frick family among the Volga German colonies.
