Johann Georg Frickel, son of Hans Peter Frickel, was baptized 20 March 1729 in Roth. He married on 3 April 1755 in Roth to Anna Margaretha Günther, daughter of Johann Daniel & Maria Elisabeth Günther. She had been born 25 July 1735 in Roth.
The baptisms of several children to Johann Georg Frickel & Anna Margaretha Günther are recorded in the parish register of Roth: (1) Johann Conrad, baptized 16 March 1756; (2) Johann Friedrich, baptized 14 January 1760; (3) Anna Dorothea, baptized 3 December 1761; and (4) Eleonora Julia. Fred., baptized 16 March 1766.
Georg Frickel, a farmer, his wife Anna Margaretha, and children (Konrad, age 12; Friedrich, age 9; Anna Dorothea, age 6; Eleonora, age ½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a pinque named Slon (Elephant) under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
Georg Frickel, a farmer, his wife Anna Margaretha, and children (Konrad, age 12; Friedrich, age 9; Anna Dorothea, age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Balzer in Household No. 95. They had settled in Balzer on 8 August 1767.
Konrad Frickel (age 42) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Balzer in Household No. Bz031.
The death of Konrad Frickel in 1830 is recorded on the 1834 census of Balzer in Household No. 113.
Dorothea Klein née Frickel (age 36) and her family are recorded on the 1798 census of Balzer in Household No. Bz058.
Elisabeth Knaub née Frickel (age 30) and her family are recorded on the 1798 census of Balzer in Household No. Bz009 along with her mother Margaretha (age 64).
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Georg Frickel came from the German region of Isenburg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Frickel family among the Volga German colonies.
