Christian Fritzmann arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Prinz Carl (Prince Carl) under the command of Skipper Christopher Losser.
Christian Fritzmann is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Christoph [sic] Fritzmann, a farmer, and his [soon-to-be wife] Kunigunda, daughter of the deceased Georg Schuster (age 25), are recorded on the 1767 census of Leitsinger in Household No. 84 along with Kunigunda's brother Michael Schuster (age 19). They had arrived in Leitsinger on 15 July 1767. [See Schuster Family.]
The 1767 census records that Christoph Fritzmann came from the German region of Kurpfalz.
