Johann Heinrich Fuchs, his wife Maria, and daughter Elisabeth (age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Perepechin.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Köhler on 21 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 58.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Heinrich Fuchs was a stonemason from Mainz. The 1767 census records that he was an Ofenbauer [?] from the German village of Mamberg [?] in the Mainz region.
