Götz (Hussenbach & Yagodnaya Polyana)

Georg Götz, son of Johannes Götz & Elisabetha Schimpf, was born 26 March 1693 in Ober-Ostern and died 6 November 1731 in Ober-Ostern. He married 20 February 1716 in Reichelsheim to Magdalena Müller, daughter of Hans Philipp Müller & Anna Barbara Brunner. She was born 31 October 1695 in Frohnhofen and died 25 July 1739 in Ober-Ostern. They had a number of children among whom are:

(1) Johann Georg, born 23 April 1722 in Ober-Ostern. He married to Anna Barbara Barthel on 10 March 1746 in Neunkirchen. The baptisms of seven of their children are recorded in the Reichelsheim parish records: (1) Johannes, born 29 January 1747 (died 10 March 1747); (2) Anna Margaretha, born 7 July 1748 (died April 1750); (3) Johannes, b. 28 January 1751; (4) Anna Margareatha, born 11 January 1754 (died July 1763); (5) Johann Georg, born 6 January 1757; (6) Anna Elisabetha, born 2 December 1759 (died 10 February 1760); and (7) Eva Catharina, born in 1761 (died 1 March 1762).

(2) Johann Conrad, born 19 May 1729 in Ober-Ostern, died 5 December 1763 in Bockenrod. He married 20 March 1752 in Reichelsheim to Dorothea Frank, daughter of Alexander Frank & Eva Lautenschläger. Dorothea was born 1 August 1726 in Laudenau. Parish records of Reichelsheim record the births of 7 children: (1) Anna Margaretha, born 2 January 1752 in Ober-Ostern, died 31 March 1752; (2) Johann Georg, born 9 August 1753 in Ober-Ostern; (3) Elisabetha Catharina, born 24 June 1755 in Ober-Ostern; twins (4 & 5) Anna Elisabetha & Anna Catharina, born 10 January 1758 in Bockenrod, Anna Elisabeth died 6 April 1758; (6) Johann Leonhard, born 22 July 1759 in Bockenrod; and (7) Elisabetha Catharina, born 18 March 1762 in Bockenrod.

Georg & Anna Barbara and their two surviving children along with Dorothea and her surviving children arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Die Frau Dietrika under the command of Skipper Joachim Friedrich Luhn.

Georg and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Hussenbach where son Johann Georg is recorded on the 1798 census in Household No. Hs032.

Dorothea's surviving children are recorded in Yagodnaya Polyana on the 1767 census in Household No. 63.
