Heinrich Gedde and his family immigrated to Russia. Only one of his children, Heinrich Gedde (age 13), appears to have survived the journey to the Volga German colonies where he is recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 121 living with the Heinrich Breitenstein family.
Recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Household No. 167 are Heinrich Breitenstein, his wife Anna Katharina, and orphan Johann Heinrich Kitz [?] (age 19). This Johann Heinrich Kitz is assumed to be the same child recorded in 1767 as Heinrich Gedde.
A relationship between the Gedde and Breitenstein families is not recorded on the 1767 census.
