Karl Geich, a cobbler, his wife Katharina, and children (Anna [Maria], age 14; [Anna] Elisabeth, age 12; [Anna] Margaretha, age 10; Albertina [Katharina Louisa], age 7; Ernestina [Louisa], age 3; [Johann] Andreas, age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.
Widow Katharina and the children settled in the Volga German colony of Huck on 1 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 36.
Widow Anna Geich, age 60, is also recorded there in Household No. 37. She had arrived at Oranienbaum with Karl Geich and his family. She is believed to be the mother-in-law of the aforementioned Katharina Geich.
The 1767 census records that Katharina Reck came from the German region of Isenburg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
