Johann Christoph Gläser, a miller (Müller), and his wife Maria Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 6 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 19.
The 1767 census records that Johann Christoph Gläser came from the German region of Sachsen-Gotha.
