Discussion & Documentation

Georg Glock, a farmer, and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Jungfer Friederika under the command of Skipper Christian Korsholm. Arriving aboard the same ship with them were Johann[es] Glock, a farmer, and his wife Katharina.

Georg & Katharina Glock settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 10. Georg Glock is recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps22.

It is not known where Johann[es] Glock and Katharina settled in 1767, but they are recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps21.

In 1790, Ludwig Glock moved from Preuss to Hölzel.

In 1795, Georg Glock moved from Preuss to Dehler.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that both Georg and Johann[es] Glock came from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that Georg Glock came from the German village of Oberhöchstadt in the Kurmainz region.
