Jakob Grau, a farmer, and his wife Dorothea [née Henneberger] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii.
Adam Grau (age 23) and his sister Susanna (age 27) are recorded on the 1798 census of Stahl am Karaman in Household No. Sk17. They are presumed to be the children of Jakob Grau, but Jakob Grau has not been located on the 1767 census.
The death of Adam Grau in 1830 is recorded on the 1834 census of Stahl am Karaman in Household No. 52.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Jakob Grau came from the German region of Dienheim. Victor3 via Forum of the Wolgadeutsche.net reports that Jakob Grau came from the German village of
