Guttmann (Frank)
Johann Martin Guttmann, son of Johannes Guttmann & Dorothea Heun, was born 17 March 1740 in Gersfeld.
Johann Martin Guthmann from Hasselbach & Margaretha Heun from Rommers, both in the barony of Weÿher, were married on 12 May 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.
They arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Reders.
Johann Martin Gutmann [sic], his wife Margaretha, and son Johannes (age ½) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that wife Margaretha and son Johannes died en route.
Johann Martin Guttmann remarried in Russia to Amalia Kämmerzell who had arrived in Oranienbaum on the same ship with him. Amalia was the daughter of Johannes & Dorothea Kammerzell and had been born 3 November 1747 in Maiersbach. [See Kammerzell Family.]
They settled in the Volga German colony of Frank on 1 September 1767, and they and their newborn son Johann Heinrich are recorded in Household No. 112 on the 1767 Census of Frank.
