Guttperl*

Nikolaus Heinrich Guttperl [sic], a weaver (Weber), and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

Widower Nikolaus Guttperl settled in the Volga German colony of Norka on 15 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 153.

Nikolaus Vutberiet, his wife Katharina, and daughter Christina are recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Supplemental Household No. 3. Notes on the 1775 census record that Nikolaus was a weaver of camlet (camel's hair and wool).

Widow Nikolaus Kutverlet [sic] is recorded on the 1798 census of Norka in Household No. Nr220 along with a note that he is in Anton.

Widow Maria Dorothea Guttperl (née Walt) is recorded on the 1798 census of Boisroux in Household No. Bx13. It is not known whether she is connected to this Guttperl family.

Nikolaus Gut-Burlert [sic] is recorded on the 1811 census of Norka in Household No. 1811Nr221 along with a note that he died in 1808.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census records that Nikolaus Heinrich Guttperl came from the German district Hessen.

There are no known surviving male descendants of this family among the Volga German colonies.
