Discussion & Documentation

Amor Hack [sic], a single farmer, arrived from Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel on 20 June 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 20 along with new wife Barbara Faust and daughter Barbara (age 2).

In 1785, Michael Haag left Göbel.

The 1767 census records that Amor Haag came from the German village of Friedberg in the Würzburg region.
