Haber*
Georg Haber, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Anna, age 21; Johann, age 19) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Heidemann.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 28 August 1767. Son Johann[es] Haber, a merchant (Kaufmann), and his new wife Anna Christina are recorded on the 1767 census of Brabander in Household No. 11. Daughter Anna Maria Haber is recorded on the 1767 census of Brabander in Household No. 119 along with a note that her father had died 1 September 1767 and that her mother had remarried to Anton Klein.
The 1767 census records that the Haber family came from the German village of Wirges in the Trier region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
