Johannes Habich, a farmer, and his wife Maria Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Hildmann on 18 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 25.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Habich came from the German village of Grünstadt.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
