Anton Hammer[ich], a farmer, his wife Anna Margaretha, and [step-]daughters (Anna Maria, age 17; Katharina, age 15 [surnames not recorded]) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard a ship named Der Ringende Jacob (The Wrestling Jacob) under the command of Skipper Johann Heitmann.
Anton Hammerich, a farmer, his wife Margaretha, and step-daughters [surname not recorded] (Anna Maria, age 18; Katharina, age 17) are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 113. They had arrived in Preuss on 16 August 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Anton Hammer[ich] came from the German region of Erbach. The 1767 census records that Anton Hammerich came from the German village of Erbach in the Kurtrier region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
