Hartmann (Warenburg)*
Nikolaus Hartmann, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766.
Nikolaus Hartmann is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Widower Nikolaus Hartmann, a farmer, is recorded on the 1767 census of Straub in Household No. 55 along with a note that his wife had died there on 25 October 1767. Another note records that he relocated to the colony of Warenburg in 1768.
The 1767 census records that Nikolaus Hartmann came from the German village of Rimbach in the Erbach region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Hartmann family among the Volga German colonies.
