Widow Maria Hartmann (age 55) is recorded on a list of Beauregard recruits that is attached to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou (No. 51).
The 1767 census also records that Maria Hartmann settled in the Volga German colony of Zürich in 1768.
The 1767 census records that Maria Hartmann came from the German region of Württemberg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Hartmann family among the Volga German colonies.
